FAQ
Before you commit.
Commercial terms are confirmed in writing for each site. Tool projections are indicative and not a guarantee of returns.
Who invests in the charger?
In the franchise model, the partner invests in the charging equipment as confirmed in the agreement. In revenue share, hardware investment is agreed between the parties. In onboarding, you already own the charger.
Who pays for electricity?
Electricity for charging is typically billed to the site’s electricity account. Exact metering, reimbursement or pass-through arrangements are confirmed in the written agreement for each site.
Who owns the charging equipment?
Ownership follows the model and agreement: franchise partners generally own the equipment they invest in; onboarded chargers remain yours; revenue-share ownership is stated in that site’s contract.
Who handles daily operations?
Under franchise and revenue-share models, Voltatic handles day-to-day run of the charging service as defined in the agreement. Onboarded charger owners retain operating control unless a support plan says otherwise.
Who is responsible for maintenance?
Franchise and revenue-share maintenance responsibilities are defined in the agreement (typically Voltatic-led). Onboarded sites can add an optional support plan.
How are payments settled?
Driver payments are collected through Voltatic’s charging setup. Settlement to the partner or owner follows the period and terms agreed for the account, subject to payment gateway and banking rules.
What happens when a charger is offline?
The CPMS monitors status and can raise alerts. Restoration follows the support and maintenance terms for your model — remote checks first, then on-site service when required under the agreement.
What is the difference between franchise and revenue share?
In a franchise you invest in the charging site and Voltatic handles install and day-to-day run. In revenue share you provide the site and charging revenue is shared. Exact terms are confirmed for each site in writing.
I already have a charger. Can I onboard it?
Yes, subject to a compatibility check. Onboarding connects your existing charger to Voltatic’s charging setup for a one-time onboarding cost.
Do I need to buy charging software?
No. Partners and onboarded chargers use Voltatic’s charging setup.
What does the investment or revenue split look like?
Commercial terms depend on the site, charger mix and model. They are shared after a feasibility review and are not a guarantee of returns.
Who maintains the chargers?
In the franchise and revenue-share models Voltatic handles operations and maintenance. For onboarded chargers, a support plan can be added.
