Sanctioned load is not the same as spare load
A property can have a sanctioned load that is partly used by existing equipment. The charger load should be considered alongside actual peak demand, other large appliances and the operating schedule.
Why phase and protection matter
Single-phase and three-phase supplies have different constraints. Cable sizing, protective devices, earthing, voltage drop and protection coordination must be designed for the specific charger and installation conditions.
When to speak to the DISCOM or an electrician
